As part of our one stop shop service, we can supply customers with cast iron tooling for their casting requirements. If the product you require can be manufactured by using the gravity die-casting process, we will take you from concept to completion in easily controllable steps. With over 30 years experience in the aluminium casting industry we have the ability to offer you sound advice on the most appropriate tooling as well as product design. This experience covers arrangements for runners, risers, cavity vents, shrinkage & stress issues and the mechanical integrity of your proposed design, helping you to avoid unnecessary complications further down the line during the machining and finishing stages.

We use all our experience and understanding to produce tooling that reduces the unit cost of the finished casting whether that's by producing a multi-cavity die for higher production rates or reducing the need for secondary finishing and machining. We understand that cost is important to our customers and strive to offer the most competitive rates in the country.

We supply and use precision CNC machined cast iron die tools with cavity walls thicknesses from 3mm upwards. Single or multi-cavity die-tools can be made direct from CAD files as well as to traditional drawings using the latest CNC machining technology which ensures both accuracy and repeatability. We also maintain a fully referenced tool library allowing us to produce low or high volume work at short notice and undertake die tool repairs and maintenance.

We undertake tool repair as and when required, often using quiet periods to carry out preemptive and planned maintenance.

We are happy to work with existing tooling. Whether your previous foundry is unable to provide you with production or there has been an issue with the casting, we can take on board existing dies and where required, undertake modifications to make them work. We are also happy to take on board broken tools which we can repair, saving you both the cost of your initial investment as well as the price of a new die.

In over 30 years in the casting business we have never designed a tool that didn't work. Our tooling is typically good for 200,000 castings which in most cases is far beyond the production requirements for any given application.
